The energy system, in which nuclear energy, as a stable and reliable source of production, provides the main load, makes it possible to respond to this demand. However, nuclear power plants are not only a source of clean electrical energy, they are also a large infrastructure project that forms the basis for a country’s technological development. The AKW Akkuyu, the first nuclear power plant in Turkey, shows this clearly. Thanks to the constant support and joint efforts of our Turkish colleagues, the project is gradually developing into the largest nuclear construction site in the world, and the aggregates of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant will produce tens of billion kilowatt hours of reliable and clean electrical energy every year after commissioning.
