ARCO to build multi-story top golf venue in Washington state

The Topgolf Entertainment Group – the sport-come-tech concept that turns 21 this year – is expanding on both sides of the Atlantic.

The groundbreaking ceremony recently took place at Topgolf Renton-Seattle, due to open next year near Logan Avenue near Boeing’s Renton Factory and The Landing Mall. The three-story venue, which is expected to employ more than 500 people, will have 102 outdoor hangouts, a full-service restaurant and bar, and event spaces for business and social events.

The venue will feature Topgolf’s new central atrium design with skylight. With comfortable seating, court games and a huge video wall, the light-flooded central atrium creates a leisure space and combines bathing fun with entertainment in the patio, bars and roof terraces.

TEG also announced details of a 10 year partnership with St Andrews Links. Through this strategic partnership, TEG becomes the exclusive golf entertainment partner for the ‘Home of Golf’, together with Toptracer as the official range technology of St Andrews Links.

The tracing technology provides golfers with accurate live shot data that can be used for practice purposes or for challenges and games with friends. Cameras mounted around the facility track every shot taken to generate a range of data such as distance, speed, firing angle and shape, which is then displayed on a 21-inch monitor in each hit bay.

Since 1992, ARCO Construction has grown from a single office in St. Louis, Missouri, to a large company with 29 offices. As the seventh largest general contractor for design and construction in the USA, ARCO’s portfolio includes more than 4,000 projects in 48 states. The high-end designs in TopGolf locations include wooden and aluminum ceiling elements, custom-made fixtures, stacked stones and roof trellises.

Like many leisure industries, golf is placing more emphasis on digital services and contactless payment in order to recover from the pandemic. Clubessential, for example, recently introduced solutions for certain markets.

Allegiant Travel Company announced that construction work on the Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor will resume this month. Construction on the project – which will be billed as the first travel destination of its kind in southwest Florida – was suspended in March 2020 due to the pandemic. The project will have a significant impact on the local economy and will eventually employ around 800 construction workers.

“When we first announced a temporary break in construction, we always assumed that the restart would take place within 18 months. I am pleased to say that we are exactly on the right track, ”said Allegiant President John Redmond. “Very soon you will see rotating cranes and construction crews at work again, working to complete an incredible, integrated resort experience that offers exceptional value to both our guests and local residents. I want to thank the Punta community. Gorda for his support and patience in these unprecedented times. “
