DT Campus: 15,154 graduates receive degrees at the 17th SRMIST convocation

A total of 15,154 students from the faculties of engineering and technology, natural sciences, medicine and health sciences and management, including 176 Ph.D. Scholars received their diplomas on this occasion. Up to 256 students received medals for first, second and third place in their courses. “Quality education will lead to massive change,” said Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education and Minister for Skills Development and Entrepreneurship. Urging students to take entrepreneurship as it helps create people’s livelihoods, he said, “Think about the problems in your field of study and find technological solutions. This will lead to a holistic growth of our society. ”In his convocation speech, Dr. G. 14.15 batches of BARC trainees complete the orientation

The 14th row (OCES-2019) and 15th row (OCES-2020) of the prospective Scientific Officers of the BARC Training School at the Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam, had their one-year orientation and training in the field of nuclear science and engineering from seven disciplines (namely) mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, fast reactor technology (electrical and electronics), fast reactor technology (mechanical and chemistry), electronics and instrumentation, nuclear reactor physics and nuclear fuel cycle chemistry. eSHRAM registration camp at VIT Chennai

At the direction of K Jagadeesan, Director Industrial Safety and Health, a registration warehouse for the registration of unorganized workers has been opened by K Sakthi, Deputy Director (BOCW) Industrial Safety and Health, Kancheepuram at the Vellore Institute of Technology, Kelambakkam, Chengalpattu District eSHRAM- Portal in coordination with District Manager Paramsivam, CSC-E-Governance Service India Limited.

Construction workers were given eSHRAM cards with 12-digit UAN numbers. These cards were issued after the workers registered on the link themselves with their valid bank accounts linked to Aadhaar.

On that occasion, the deputy director said that under government orders, construction company employers and contractors have been asked to complete the registration process of construction workers (all workers including migrant workers and local Tamil workers) on eSHRAM / NDUW National. to speed up portal to give unorganized construction workers the right to various government-sponsored social security schemes.
