Entergy is realigning several teams to drive sustainability and customer-centric strategies

NEW ORLEANS, May 11, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Entergy Corporation (NYSE: ETR) today announced the creation of a new sustainable planning, development and operations organization, led by Pete Norgeot, currently Senior Vice President, Transformation to achieve greater strategic alignment and collaboration to meet stakeholder sustainability expectations and drive the company’s aspirations. The new organization will realign key internal teams to jointly implement strategies to decarbonize the Entergy portfolio and expand green practices while ensuring affordability and reliability for customers.

In this new leadership role, Norgeot, who will continue to serve on the Chief Executive’s Office, will report Paul Hinnenkamp, Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. The new organization consists of system planning and operation under the direction of Jason Reynolds;; Corporate planning, led by Elizabeth Adams;; and a new energy development group led by Jonathan Longwho will be responsible for building in-house capabilities to build a robust pipeline of renewable energy projects that will help Entergy meet its sustainability goals.

Gary Dickens, currently Vice President, Project Construction, will succeed Long as Vice President, Capital Projects.

Current teams within Norgeot’s former transformation organization, including commercial operations, technology and nuclear decommissioning, will now report within the financial organization under the direction of Drew Marsh, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Building on the recently announced appointment of Ellis as Entergy’s first Chief Customer Officer, the company also announced the realignment of several in-house teams towards Ellis’s new integrated customer organization.

KeyString Labs, the company’s innovation hub that strives to understand customer issues and bring new products and services to market that meet their needs, will transition from the previous transformation organization to the new integrated customer organization. Some of the short-term priorities of KSL are:

  • Electromobility (e.g. chargers for electric vehicles, electric vehicle fleets, electric transport options).
  • Low carbon generation (e.g. expanding low carbon power generation capabilities to enable our customers, businesses and communities to jointly generate clean energy).
  • Beneficial electrification (e.g. adding electrical options for our customers to simultaneously meet sustainability goals and reduce their operating costs).

In addition, teams striving to create exceptional customer experiences in their current day-to-day interactions with the company, including the customer experience team and utility sales and development services, will operate within the new customer organization.

All organizational realignments are effective May 16.
