April 1 – A new Chevron gas station, supermarket, and two commercial buildings are under construction on a long, empty lot near Grand Central, north of State Highway 14.
The gas station named Delta Plaza Chevron at 3223 Columbia House Blvd. has no estimated completion date and the entire project is still under review by the city, said Kristian Corbin, associate planner for the city of Vancouver.
Plans presented to the city show that around 5 hectares will be paved, converted into buildings or designed with trees and lots of greenery. The two commercial buildings are 1,340 square meters and 5,070 square meters. Approximately 9,571 square feet will be landscaped, and approximately 42 parking spaces are included in the plans.
Asghar Sadri owns the property and Delta Management development company operating on the property.
The company did not respond to The Columbian’s request for more information.
