Dyna-Mac is partnering with the National University of Singapore (NUS) to obtain a grant for the Low-Carbon Energy Research Funding Initiative (LCER FI).

The Board of Directors of Dyna-Mac Holdings Ltd. (“Dyna-Mac“and together with its subsidiaries the”group“) would like to announce that the group has worked with NUS to obtain a grant from the Low-Carbon Energy Research Funding Initiative (LCER FI). This grant is given to support the development and demonstration of projects related to low carbon energy technology solutions. The group will work closely with NUS as an industry collaborator.

The aim of the project is an improved method for methane pyrolysis, ie catalytic cracking and separation of natural gas / methane into H2 Gas and solid carbon. It investigates the development of a novel process with bifunctional catalytic membrane reactors (CMR), in which ultra-pure H2 and high-order carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are produced by methane (natural gas) pyrolysis processes with zero carbon dioxide (CO2) Emissions.

The potential benefit is that methane pyrolysis is a potential route to the production of low carbonH2 in Singapore. The process is currently costly and energy intensive. If successful, this can reduce the cost of H2 Production in Singapore with simultaneous manufacture of valuable carbon products.

The group is currently pursuing opportunities in the global hydrogen and ammonia market, which is alongside its core competencies. In this context, the group would like to use its modular design capacities for the production of hydrogen modules.

The above allocation is not expected to have any material impact on the Group’s earnings per share or net property, plant and equipment for the current fiscal year ended December 31, 2021.
