Senator Doug Jones responds to results of the GOP primary runoff in Alabama

“I passed seventeen bipartisan laws that were signed by President Trump and have been honored three times by the US Chamber of Commerce for my bipartisan experience, leadership, and support for business. We worked across the aisle, lifting the tax on Gold Star widows after more than twenty years of partisan warfare prevented thousands of families from earning the promised benefits. We’ve given relief to farmers in wiregrass, which has been hit by hurricanes and tornadoes. We are investing in rural hospitals that, without the Medicaid expansion, will continue to struggle despite their importance to many Alabama communities. I will always protect the health care of our seniors and those with pre-existing conditions.
