SNC-Lavalin wins pre-project engineering service contract for potential new CANDU building in Romania

MONTREAL, November 25, 2021 / CNW Telbec / – Candu Energy Inc., a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group (TSX: SNC), has a 12-month, $ 8.4 million Order from the Romanian company EnergoNuclear SA to provide engineering services during the preparatory phase of a previous project for the completion of CANDU units 3 and 4 in Romania.

This contract follows the signing of an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Romania and The United States in 2020 as well as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in August 2021 between Romania and Canada to strengthen and further develop cooperation in civil nuclear projects and builds on the 55-year relationship between the two countries in the development of nuclear projects.
