United Engineers & Constructors, Inc. (United) announced today that Shoreline Power Group, a joint venture between United, Aecon and SNC-Lavalin, has received an order from Bruce Power to perform the Fuel Duct and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) for Unit. received 3 valued at approximately CAD 400 million at the Bruce Power Nuclear Power Plant in Tiverton, Ontario.

The scope of services includes a visit to the inside of the reactor, the expansion and replacement of Calandria, pressure and feeder pipes as well as project management, construction management and field work. Work is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2026.

The Shoreline Power Group is currently performing FCFR work on Block 6, with the majority of the work expected to be completed by the end of 2022. In 2018, the joint venture signed Bruce Power’s Major Component Replacement (MCR) program. With the award of Unit 3, there are still four units left.

United’s Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) joint venture is also currently under contract to replace steam generators in Bruce Units 3, 4 and 6.
